The article Why Churches Disbelieve Victims and Believe Pastoral Abusers has a great discussion on the irrational biases that are responsible for so many churches failing to take allegations of abuse by cleargy seriously. While it is far from perfect – it is nonetheless insightful. Since the detection of cognitive biases is something that is currently a big topic of discussion in the Algorithmic Rationalist Chats, that makes this article one that is probably worth paying attention to.
